Who is responsible

What we collect and why
Enquiries
When you send the enquiry form or write to us, we process your name, email address, optionally your company or project name, and what you tell us about your project (service, requirements, budget range, timeline).
- Purpose: answering your enquiry and preparing a proposal.
- Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in replying to messages (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Retention: up to 12 months after our last contact, unless the enquiry leads to a contract, in which case it becomes part of the client record.
Spam protection
To limit abuse of the form, the sender's IP address is checked against a short-lived counter held in memory only. It is never written to disk and is forgotten within an hour (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Server logs
Our web server records technical request data (IP address, time, requested address, browser identifier) to keep the service secure and working. Logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.
Statistics
We count visits with GoatCounter, hosted on our own server. It sets no cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not build profiles of visitors. The country of a visit is looked up from the IP address on our server, and only the country is kept. We see aggregated numbers such as page views, referrers, browsers and countries.
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no cookies. If you switch to the light theme, that choice is stored in your browser's local storage on your device only; it is never sent to us.
Who receives your data
The website, the enquiry form and our email run on servers we administer. The servers are rented from a hosting provider with data centres in Germany, which processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). Nobody else receives your data: we do not sell it and do not use advertising or tracking services.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to contact@h4me.net. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work, or with the authority responsible for us in Germany.
Changes
We update this policy when the way we process data changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
